This website is the property of MIK When visiting this website, MIK (hereinafter to be referred to as ‘MIK) respects the privacy of the visitor and handles any personal data provided with care. MIK considers it of paramount importance to provide you with clarity about the purpose for which MIK collects personal data, how this data can be used, how this data is protected and what rights you have with regard to your personal data.
Cookie Policy
When you visit the MIK website, MIK makes use of so-called ‘cookies’. Cookies are simple text files that are stored by the browser on your computer and contain your information. The website then instructs the browser that you use to view websites. MIK uses session cookies, permanent cookies and re-targeting cookies. Using a re-targeting cookie, usage data can be registered, stored and utilised. Right of access, correction or deletion. As soon as you have any questions about the processing of your personal data after you have visited the MIK website(s), you, as a user, have the right to inspect this data. This means that you can ask which of your data has been registered and for which purposes the data will be used. You also have the right to object. In addition, you can object to the use of your personal data for market research and sales activities. If you do not wish to receive offers (Direct Marketing, Telemarketing and e-mail Marketing) and data provision by MIK, you must send a letter with your name, address and telephone number to the address stated at the end of this privacy statement.
When do we process personal data?
Personal data in regard to purchases:
In the event that you make a purchase from us via the webshop, such as an accessory, bicycle bag, basket etc, you will be registered as a private customer.
Personal data in regard to promotions:
In the event that you take part in a special promotion for which you are required to register with us, we will retain your personal data until the promotion is over. Termination of action in this instance refers to the date on which we fulfilled the obligations of the promotion and the retention of your personal data is no longer relevant.
Personal data in connection with showroom visits and/or information request:
When you visit our showroom in Ulft, it is possible that you may choose to leave your details. This is done on an entirely voluntary basis. In this instance, we may use your data in the event of asking you specific questions or to send you a new brochure if you have asked us to do so. Your data will be destroyed by us as soon as it is no longer relevant for the purpose for which it was left in the first place, unless you have indicated to us that you wish to be kept informed of our products and possible activities.
Personal data for newsletters
You can register as a subscriber to one or more of our electronic newsletters via the website(s). Registration takes place by means of a so-called ‘double opt-in’ process, which means that you will only be listed as a subscriber if, after registering via the website, you follow the instructions that are sent to you by e-mail. At the bottom of each newsletter you will always find a hyperlink with which you can follow to easily unsubscribe for further receipt of one or more newsletters. If you unsubscribe for further receipt of newsletters, your personal data will be removed from our database.
Questions regarding products
If you contact us with general questions about the use of our products, your data will not be stored, unless your question requires further investigation and we need to come back to you with a response. In this case, we will remove your data as soon as we have given you a satisfactory answer.
Personal data and ‘smart devices’
When registering as a user of the website or the app, or possibly in the case of an update, your permission regarding data will be requested. The privacy statement accompanying the app explains how we handle your data in this specific instance.

Your information will only be shared with a third party if we engage such a party for any service and/or delivery of our products, or if we are required to do so by law. Such third parties shall at all times be bound by a written agreement containing a confidentiality agreement. MIK never sells your personal data to third parties.
