Easily switch MIK accessories

With MIK-HD, you can also easily use your other high-quality MIK accessories. Dropped off your child at the daycare? Then with one click, you can swap your MIK-HD child seat for a shopping basket or pannier for your work gear. Is your partner, grandpa, or grandma picking up your child? Then they can easily and quickly click the MIK-HD bike seat onto their own bicycle with the MIK-HD carrier rack. This allows multiple people to transport your child stably, stylishly, and safely. Please note: a MIK-HD bike seat cannot be mounted on a standard MIK carrier; it only fits a MIK-HD carrier.

How to use a MIK-HD child seat

You need a carrier with MIK-HD profiles to use a MIK-HD child seat. You can recognize a MIK-HD carrier by the MIK-HD logo located on the carrier. Make sure it says MIK-HD on the logo and not just MIK. A MIK-HD child seat does not fit a standard MIK system, and standard MIK carriers have not been tested for child seats.

First with combined approval

The MIK-HD carrier has been tested with as much as 30 kg instead of the required 27 kg. It also meets ISO standards for luggage carriers (EN 11243) and bicycle seats (ISO 14344). Manufacturers offering MIK-HD bike seats must have them tested and approved by TÜV Rheinland. This makes MIK-HD the first and only platform in the world with this combined approval. So you can be sure that the bike carrier and bike seat combination have been thoroughly tested. A reassuring feeling when you get on your bike with your child!

I do not have a MIK-HD bike rack or MIK-HD child seat

If you do not have a MIK-HD bike rack, you cannot use a MIK-HD child seat. You can use all other MIK accessories if you have a standard MIK carrier. Suppose you do not have a MIK system on your carrier. In that case, you can still attach your MIK accessories to your bike when you mount the separate MIK carrier plate on your luggage carrier.
